Aphids

Aphids:

Toxoptera odinae van der Goot and Apis gossypii Glov. (Apididade: Hemiptera)

Pest appearance:

Aphids are tiny (1-3 mm), soft, brownish in colour with prominent cornicles and found in groups.

Symptoms of damage:

Though aphids are seen in huge numbers on leaves, shoots, panicles and immature nuts, the feeding seldom results in damage because natural enemies reduce their population. However, drying of flowers can occur under severe indicence.
